Listen kid you just need to realize that hey no one in needy countries cares what it looks like for goodness sakes! If these were so bad then why don't you try making a laptop similar to this.

The Laptop is not for Hacking other people's computers. Please don't use this laptop for that purpose, if you really do that you are misusing a laptop designed for kids

Hello I live in Nigeria and I happen to have a free XO laptop thanks to the OLPC project. First of all I would like to thank everybody who participates in this wonderful project, that allows us children, living here in the 3rd World to gain access to the Internet and learn more about the world itself. Thank you for creating this project and God bless you. I hope that soon every child living in poor countries such as Nigeria will have the opportunity to use this great educational tool. Thank you!

Well we've got two choices here, we can keep them uneducated but semi-well fed, living in squalor and dependant on people whom many of which couldn't really care less about the longterm well being of the people they claim to want to help. OR as we feed them we can at least make some effort to inspire them to use their brains and find their own ways of providing for themselves, leading to the day when they won't need any help. This project is just one step towards that, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

I think that the technology is great, and that its features are great and I love its simplicity and that their so cheap. but i really hate how they look. I don't know who decided that green and white were meant to go together. Black would have looked cooler and the antennas that are for the wifi access are horrible.
