Diesel powered SUVs may cost more

If you are planning to own a diesel SUV then rethink your purchase plan. The big diesel cars may soon cost more if the prime minister's office has its way with a proposal for higher excise duty. It seems that the plan for higher fuel prices for higher income groups is a non-starter because of administrative problems and the petroleum ministry felt hiking the excise duty is a more realistic approach.
