Hey, thanks. Nice to meet someone else who didn't jump on the bandwagon. I know exactly what you mean - the R34 GTR V-Spec II was my personal fave, and probably the best Skyline Nissan ever made. The new one is about as involving as being dead.

you are probably the only person i have ever seen say that; other than myself. i loved the old skylines, they were beautiful, legendary, sounded good, and i would pay for one if i had the money. the new r35 is way too heavy, looks like its trying too hard, sounds boring, drives boring, and everybody is somehow all wooed by it; i would rather have chlamydia

they also keep the same design as the original, which shows that they have a damn good desighn

I find alot of porsches look the same. Granted, that's probably a good thing - it works. But it's kinda sad though :(. I love porsches.

True. I do like luxury. However, if it was my money that I was spending, I would go for the 997 GT3 RS w/ PASM - this allows some normal road use without the danger of a broken spine.

The Turbo is like listing to the highest quality radio system in existence.while the GT3 is like controlling an actual symphony.

Good descriptions, correct indeed. But I still rec. the GT3.To any true Porschophile, this "compromise" of having the GT3 over the Turbo is nothing. If you're complaining about this relatively slight 'compromise' about the GT3 over the Turbo...than just maybe a Porsche isn't for youbut a luxury, full body Benz
orangechilli (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Correct. However, the Turbo is billed as an everyday car, the GT3 is billed as a road/track compromise and the GT3 RS as the ultimate track monkey. That said, however, the Turbo is still more involving than the GTR - in the same way that the 'Benz S600L is slightly more involving than the Lexus LS460L.

The Turbo looks, and is, solid and muscular. That cobalt blue color really works with the 997 Turbo.

Relatively speaking, the Turbo is also 'uninvolving' compared to the GT3
