This is a Turbine Enstrom Helicopter on the Heli Pad of a Greenpeace ship some where off the coast of Ireland. One of the deck straps has not been released correctly, with what was very nearly disastrous consequence. Pilot skill and quick thinking saved the day.

If god made earth then why are you so hasty to destroy something god made? (I don't believe in him but I always wonder why Christians don't care about gods creations)

Fuck Greenpeace, and anyone associated with them.Great recovery by the pilot though, and that deck hand is one severely lucky individual. Hopefully the incident brings a self realization that he is wasting his life.

You can't apply negitave pitch - only neuteral or positive. In some helicopters if you apply neg pitch in flight, you will lose the rotor head. This might work in RC models, but not in real life.

SKILLLLZZZZ

Because you wouldnt want to first unrig the craft on the open ocean, then waiting for lift speed, its imperative that you have those rotors primed up so as not take all day for lift-off.

Any well trained heli pilot would know to "negatively" swash-plate the rotor pitch, effectively holding the copter down onto the pad, no matter how high the stern or aft bounce.
