Actually, yes. African slaves brought to Brazilian sugar cane plantations in 1600s developed it. There is no register in history that capoeira was developed in the African continent before or even after. The "Angola" Style is a cultural root tribute - not a proof that they played it.The clearest evidence is that there were african slaves in Europe and North America too. But you wouldn't see Capoeira out there. CAPOEIRA is from Brazil, created by african slaves.
