To correct you, America has much higher emissions than China. To make you realise: USA = 5% of the World's population, China = 33% of the World's population and yet the USA uses 20% of all the Worlds oil and creates 25% of the entire World's pollution, that's a quarter! Watch my vid called "America you disgust me" you will be surprised at the statistics. BTW way Europe/Japan has invested more money than any other country in developing green technology. USA has poor emission standards for cars.

Dude first of all China produces more emissions yes I know more people live there but less own autos and automobiles are not the biggest problem burning coal is. As for your MPG rant that's not the issue either, it's the type of fuel that's the issue. Why burn petrol when you could be using hydrogen zero emissions and abundant? Pull your head out of your ass and educate yourself, and stop being so butt hurt that my country stopped yours from conquering the world you socialist.

unfortunately, you are correct. im no environmentalist, but i just never understood the concept of SUVs/Minivans. They are so unpractical. They cant handle for shit, theyre slow, and gas guzzlers. My wife has a 2007 Mercedes E350 4Matic estate and its nicer looking than most luxury SUVs, faster than any V6 Suvs, and isnt harmful to the environment (gets 28-30 mpg on highways)

Pollution is the biggest problem in America if you ask me, compared to the rest of the World it just doesn't make sense considering only 5% of the World's population live there. Plenty of economical cars/SUV/station wagons in Europe. On Top Gear, the new Subaru Legacy diesel got over 63 MPG and still does 0-60 in less than 7 secs. SUV and Minivans are available here but were considered a bit of a joke when fuel hit $12 a gallon and road tax jumped to $600 a year! No wonder Range Rover went bust!

i really apreciate the script on this video, both of these actors deserve Oscar award nominations.Anyway, i am so confused as to how Edmunds could not come up with an official winner. isnt it obvious?! Considering the Benz is more fuel efficient, more luxurious, better performance, similar price w/ way more options, and also more capable of towing, it seems like the winner to me. Also what would you rather spend 55k on? A chevy or a Benz? GL320 is better than Tahoe. fact, not opinion

i am American, but i agree with your point on America's pollution problems, especially automotive related polution. I keep trying to convince my fellow Americans who feel as if they have to buy a huge SUV to keep up their status rank, to switch to station wagons (estates in Europe). The new Euro station wagons are gorgeous, and is it just me, or is America they only country that even sells SUVs and Minivans?

Just because a car is good on fuel doesn't mean it's a "shit box" BMW are developing a car that does 100 MPG, again not a hybrid, as are Audi to name but a few. Mercedes make the Smart car remember? inspired by the A class. I think people in Europe look at MPG rather than MPH these days due to carbon based taxes (road tax costs between £35 and £400 a year depending on how much pollution it causes) and fuel costs (cheap now at $6 a gallon) not to mention genuine concern for the environment.
