I was just watching the nightly news and somehow missed that Eartha passed last week. Nearly broke my heart. I adored her for years, then when the disco music came out, it was cemented forever. She was a class act and deserved much more success. I never got to see her live but every TV performance and now thanks to Youtube, more, one can see why see was an icon to much of the world, but more so to her gay fans. Me being one of her most devoted.

I was blessed to get to see her countless times at Jazz Alley in Seattle. She was ever so gracious for her fans and was always the Grande Dame of the stage. I meet with many times in her dressing room and she was so kind, she loved her boys and we will never forget her. Thank you Eartha for being you!

This Lady was a class act...she went out with the kind of frosting very few do, she lived as she wanted, stood by her views, and was still famous at age 81 . May God Welcome Her soul into His Kingdom .
