In Spain his character was referred to as Tarzan but when they were released in English language territories they directly avoided mentioning the Tarzan name, instead referring to Hawkes character as _Zan of the Jungle

Nice posture on the bipedal ape and dig the '70s sideburns on Tarzan!

A great european Tarzan film, but Tarzan should have had more competition against him in order for the film to be called Tarzan's Greatest Challenge. What a bunch of wimpy pushovers! Steve Hawkes still wears his Tarzan loincloth in Florida. He owns a mini-zoo with lions and tigers. A Current Affair had an article on him.

You're right. The gate should have gone down and that ape, no matter how corny he looked, could easily revive from that cave in. Why the heck didn't Tarzan use his knife to waste that big ape anyway?
