Rear C of G my ass the aircraft is in a 45 degree nose down attitude how would all the people be stuck in the back inless their asses were full of helium. Pilot failed to recover it looks to me. All pilots should be taught spins!

yer true bet even if he knew how to recover from that spin you would probably be in shock so his mind could have gone blank if he had of panached

With that far of an aft C.G. it would be almost impossible to recover. Also, if he graduated from embry riddle, I'm guessing he had his CFI rating which requires spin training...

flat spins are the worst :( ... RA is coming from 70-90 degrees i believe.

This was 9 years ago, a Skydivng accident. New hire low time Riddle graduate pilot stalled the airplane during a low altitude 3500 foot run for a student hop n pop training jump,aircraft stalled while the student was on the right wing, started to rotate right, jumper let go, but the aircraft entered a developed right flat spin due to the other 5 jumpers being thrust to the back of the aircraft by centrifugal forces pushing the cg aft of limits- 6 on board died.

cessna 210 is made for 6 people, chances are that not everyone on board were in good shape....thats why there is the cessna 206, the thing will hold EVERYTHING you can stuff in it,which makes it great for bush flying

Proper spin recovery techniques might have helped - however, proper weight and balance is critical too. If overgross, and aft of the rearward limit, it's quite possible that the spin will become unrecoverable no matter what inputs the pilot gives.

Man, all this guy really had to do was relax back pressure and kick in a little rudder opposite the spin direction. Also, most cessnas will recover on their own if you just let go of the yoke. I really think spin training needs to be taught in Private pilot instruction
